Auto benchmarks safe local options on this browser. It prefers Kokoro WebGPU, then efficient Kitten WASM, buffered Kokoro WASM, and finally the instant system voice.

Generated passages are stored on this device using a key that includes the text, model version, voice, speed, and numeric format.

The five choices are voice profiles inside the same model—not five separate downloads. Model files are cached by Safari; the text and generated audio stay on this device.
